OVERVIEW

1 - How did you come to the leather industry?

In 1983, after finishing secondary school when I was 1, I decided to take a job and continue my studies in parallel.

Given my family situation, I wanted a job close to home that allowed me to support myself. At the time, the tannery was the only one hiring.

2 – What job are you performing in the leather industry?

I prepare dyes for leather and split finishing and operate the wastewater treatment plant.

3 - What qualification or training did you do to be there?

All the training and refresher courses in the tannery field were organized by the factory. I also undertook training courses to be a laboratory technician in the wastewater treatment plant.

4 - What do you (most) appreciate in your job?

My ability, after the years I have spent in the tannery, to easily obtain and distinguish a genuine leather from a synthetic one.

I like my ability, after the years I have spent in the tannery, to easily obtain and distinguish a genuine leather from a synthetic one.
