Metaskills4TCLF in Leather Fashion Design journal
The latest special edition of Leather Fashion Design, published in cooperation with the Sustainable Leather Forum, takes a deep look at how the European leather and textile sectors are rethinking the way we train, upskill and inspire the next generation.
It covers the 36 micro-courses developed with the University of Lleida, ITECH Lyon and FILK Freiberg; the 57 videos filmed inside real tanneries and research centres, including CTC in Lyon and the A3 Technology Innovation Center in Igualada; and the metaverse labs coming to partner universities between late 2026 and early 2027.
But the story is not only about technology - it is also about regions, universities, research centres and industry learning to work together differently - sharing knowledge, creating new training formats and making skills development much closer to the reality of the workplace.
We are proud to see how Metaskills4TCLF is helping inspire this cooperation and innovation across the industry.
