OVERVIEW

Bader leather factory was established in Göppingen in 1872 as Otto Bader Ross Leather Factory", a horse leather factory and is now managed by the fifth generation of the Bader family.

Bader developed from a small shoe leather tannery to the production of upholstery leather and has become one of the leading international manufacturers of premium leather for the automotive industry. Today 6,800 people work at seven facilities worldwide and produce 55,000 m² automotive leather a day.

In Germany, the factory at Ichenhausen started production in 1996 and was substantially expanded in 2002-03. The production processes run from raw material to finished leather and the site also has its own full biological sewage treatment plant.

Almost all of the production sites of the Bader group, including the Ichenhausen plant, have been audited for the ECO2L certificate for the energy-efficiency and resource-saving performance of their leather production.
