Developed in the framework of the Tanweek initiative financed by the European Commission, the "Tanweek brochure" offers an illustrated outline of the European tanners' contributions towards sustainable development through science and technological progress. After a presentation of the tanning industry through the ages, focus is given to environmental and scientific advancements, then on future prospects.
